Aleqs Notal, a French DJ and electronic music producer, has been shaping the underground music scene since the early 2000s. Drawing inspiration from the origins of House and Techno in Detroit, Chicago, and New York, his sound is defined by sharp percussion and timeless atmospheres. Notal began DJing in 1999, making a name for himself through turntablism competitions and compositions for international labels. In 2020, he launched his own label, I.L. Recordings, further cementing his influence in the world of underground electronic music.

His musical journey spans across multiple genres and locations, from the deep, lunar sound on ClekClekBoom Recordings to a soulful EP on Patrice Scott’s Sistrum label. Notal’s international acclaim grew with works like “Paris Lagos Soundscapes” recorded in Nigeria and “Big Tal’s Elements” on Benji B’s One Level label. Having played alongside renowned artists such as Larry Heard and Mike Huckaby, Notal has performed at iconic venues like Fabric in London, Tresor in Berlin, and Opium in Vilnius. With releases on labels such as Forbidden Dance and Visions, Notal continues to push musical boundaries and captivate audiences with his impeccable technique and raw sounds.
